By-Laws 

Mohawk 4 Wheel Drive Club and it's members are dedicated to the sport of Off Roading through social and recreational activities; enjoying and protecting our environment and enjoying family outdoor camping.

Our Club was formed to provide for people with similar interest in Four Wheel Drive vehicles and associated activities to meet, organize and attend outdoor activties and events.

 

Meetings:

Guests of M4WD members are welcome to attend regular club meetings and rides. 

Trail rides are decided on at each meeting. For locations of Club rides, check the "Upcoming Rides" link. Meetings are held bi-monthly, in January, March, May, July, September, November and are held during a scheduled trail ride.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP WITH MOHAWK 4WD CLUB

  • Open to owners of 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles ONLY. 

  • Vehicles must be licenced and insured.

  • Annual dues are $30.00 for membership and are due and payable by the end of January each year.

  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driver's license.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

  • Fire extinguisher

  • First aid kit

  • Tow Hooks front and rear

  • CB radio and/or FMS - GRMS Radio

  • Required safety equipment must be installed prior to acceptance of the membership application.

TRIP RULES 

  • These simple rules are not intended to restrict your fun in the use of your four wheel drive vehicle. Rather, they are reminders and ideas we have found which will increase your enjoyment of the greatest of all outdoor sports, while providing safety for you and your family. 

  • Absolutely no alcohol allowed on trail rides or Club events.

  • Don't throw cans, paper or other litter from your vehicle.

  • Matches and smokes must be carefully watched and snuffed out properly.

  • When traveling with other 4WD vehicles, always wait at the TURNS IN THE TRAIL, for the vehicle behind you. Always keep the vehicle behind you in sight.

  • Obey the trail leader as to the rules on the trip. Often we may be on State land or on private property and it is the responsibility of the trail leader to keep our club/group from violating any of the privileges that may be extended to us.

  • Destruction of plant life is to be especially avoided.

  • Local and Federal land use regulations shall be observed.

  • Always conduct yourself in a proper manner.

  • If you or your guest has any questions on the Club ride, please ask a M4WD member or the trail leader.
